http://Greendig.net — a blog that cuts through the thicket of BS that is “green.” If you’re like me, you have grown tired of the incessant use of this innocent little adjective to legitimate everything from tampons to SUV’s.
Those cheeky lists of tips and factoids that stare back at us every time we enter the checkout line, haunts the grocery store musings of environmentalists and lumberjacks alike. “Ten fun tips to green your wedding” “Five easy ways to stop global warming now” or the ever bizarre “How to green you sex life” (uhhhh…TMI).
In most cases, this barrage inspires annoyance, in some depression and others downright anger.

Added by GreendigLet’s face it… “green” is kind of complicated. Buying a magazine, drinking organic soy milk and changing some light bulbs is not going to cut it. I have come to realize that it’s not particularly easy or sexy trying to grapple with what our hidden environmental impacts really are, much less taking action to change them.
But we have to.
So, my goal is to try and help out. For many years I’ve been pulling together data from a wide array of sources, and am dedicated to helping inform people about what their environmental impacts really are. Every week, I’ll be digging through the daily barrage of green news, factoids, and the occasional preposterously inaccurate statement (Wired Magazine you’re toast). My goal…to help smart people everywhere actually know what they’re talking about, so they can share with their friends ways to really make a difference.
Despite my horrible case of cynicism, ultimately I am optimistic that intelligence will win out over stupidity. And most importantly, that we as the little guy consumers will have a major say in how corporations do business. After all, its our money they’re spending, and its our planet, not theirs. So who’s in charge?
